Renting & Payments

How do I rent a storage unit or parking stall?
Register online or contact West Gate Storage directly. Rentals are month-to-month with a minimum rental period of one full calendar month.

When is rent due?
Rent is due on the 1st day of every month and must be paid in advance.

Is my first month's rent prorated?
Yes. Your first month's rent will be prorated based on your move-in date.

Is automatic payment required?
Yes. Automatic payments are required for all rentals.

Can I update my payment information?
Yes. Contact West Gate Storage before your next payment is due to update your payment method.

What happens if my payment is declined?
Access will be suspended immediately, outstanding amounts remain due, and a $45 late payment charge may apply.

Is rent refundable?
No. Rent is non-refundable, including early move-outs and unused rental periods.

Do I receive monthly invoices?
Monthly invoices are not normally issued unless requested.
Access & Security

When can I access my rental space?
You may access your rental space 24 hours a day while your account is in good standing and all rental obligations have been met.

Can my access be suspended?
Yes. Access may be suspended for unpaid accounts, safety concerns, security issues, or breaches of the Terms & Conditions.

Can I share my gate code?
No. Gate codes are confidential and must not be shared. You are responsible for anyone who enters the property using your credentials. Self-storage units should also be swept and mopped if necessary.

Who is responsible for my guests?
You are responsible for all family members, guests, contractors, and anyone entering the property on your behalf.

Is snow removal provided?
Snow removal may be performed around self-storage units and common access areas as needed but is not guaranteed. Snow removal is not provided within individual parking stalls. If snow removal is required to access or remove stored property, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. West Gate Storage will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee snow removal.
Storage Rules

What can I store?
You may store lawful personal property that you own or are legally authorized to possess.

What items are prohibited?
Prohibited items include: Explosives - Firearms and ammunition - Fireworks - Flammable liquids (outside approved vehicle fuel systems) - Hazardous chemicals - Toxic or corrosive materials - Illegal drugs - Stolen property - Propane or compressed gas stored contrary to regulations - Perishable food - Waste materials - Any dangerous, hazardous, offensive, or prohibited materials

Can I operate a business from my rental space?
Not without prior written approval from West Gate Storage.

Can I live in my storage unit, RV, trailer, or vehicle?
No. Residential or overnight occupancy is strictly prohibited.

Can I repair my vehicle or RV on the property?
Mechanical repairs are not permitted without prior approval.
Parking Stall & RV Storage

How should I park?
Park only in your assigned stall. Back into your stall unless otherwise instructed. Keep your vehicle centered within the space. Do not block roadways or neighboring stalls.

Can I store items outside or on the ground of my storage unit or parking stall?
No. Everything must remain within your assigned rental space. Wheel chocks and blocking are the only exceptions for parking stalls.

Can I leave my RV slide-outs, awnings, or steps open?
No. Slide-outs, awnings, and steps must remain fully retracted while in storage.

Can I dump grey water or black water?
No. Dumping wastewater or releasing fuel, oil, chemicals, or hazardous materials is strictly prohibited.
Insurance & Liability

Do I need insurance?
You are responsible for insuring your own property.

Does West Gate Storage insure my belongings?
No. West Gate Storage does not provide insurance coverage for stored property.

Moving Out

How much notice do I need to move out?
Please provide at least 7 days' notice before moving out.

What happens if I don't give notice?
A charge equal to one month's rent may apply.

What do I need to do before moving out?
Remove all belongings. Leave your rental space clean. Pay any outstanding balance. Notify West Gate Storage that you have vacated. Self-storage units should also be swept and mopped if necessary.

Where do I leave my storage unit keys after moving out?
Leave both of your keys on the hook located on the right side of the lock cover on the center of your storage unit doors.
Default & Enforcement

What happens if I don't pay my rent?
Access will be suspended immediately. If your account remains unpaid for 60 consecutive days, West Gate Storage may exercise its legal rights, including denying access, towing, relocating, selling, or disposing of stored property where permitted by law.
Facility Rules
What is the speed limit?
Are pets allowed?

Is smoking allowed?
Can I access the property after my account is in default?
No. Access will be suspended until your account is brought back into good standing.
Can West Gate Storage enter my rental space?

| No Notice Move-Out Charge | One Month’s Rent | The required 7 days’ notice is not provided before vacating the rental space. |
Additional reasonable costs may also apply, including towing, storage, disposal, repairs, administrative expenses, legal costs (where permitted), and other expenses incurred while enforcing the Terms & Conditions.
