Renting & Payments

Access & Security

  • When can I access my rental space?

    You may access your rental space 24 hours a day while your account is in good standing and all rental obligations have been met.

  • Can my access be suspended?

    Yes. Access may be suspended for unpaid accounts, safety concerns, security issues, or breaches of the Terms & Conditions.

  • Can I share my gate code?

    No. Gate codes are confidential and must not be shared. You are responsible for anyone who enters the property using your credentials. Self-storage units should also be swept and mopped if necessary.

  • Who is responsible for my guests?

    You are responsible for all family members, guests, contractors, and anyone entering the property on your behalf.

  • Is snow removal provided?

    Snow removal may be performed around self-storage units and common access areas as needed but is not guaranteed. Snow removal is not provided within individual parking stalls. If snow removal is required to access or remove stored property, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. West Gate Storage will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee snow removal.

  • What happens if I don't pay my rent?

    Access will be suspended immediately. If your account remains unpaid for 60 consecutive days, West Gate Storage may exercise its legal rights, including denying access, towing, relocating, selling, or disposing of stored property where permitted by law.

Additional reasonable costs may also apply, including towing, storage, disposal, repairs, administrative expenses, legal costs (where permitted), and other expenses incurred while enforcing the Terms & Conditions.

  • Rent is due on the 1st of every month.
  • Automatic payments are required.
  • Late payments may result in a $45 charge.
  • Give at least 7 days’ notice before moving out.
  • Rent is non-refundable, including early move-outs.
  • Moving out without proper notice may result in a charge equal to
    one month’s rent.
  • Maximum speed limit is 15 km/h.
  • Do not share your gate code.
  • You are responsible for anyone who enters using your gate access.
  • No smoking anywhere on the property.
  • No pets are permitted on the property.
  • No overnight stays or living in storage units, RVs,
    trailers, or vehicles.
  • Mechanical repairs require prior approval.
  • Park only within your assigned rental space.
  • Keep RV slide-outs, awnings, and steps fully retracted while in storage.
  • Do not dump grey water, black water, fuel, oil, chemicals, or hazardous materials.
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, and hazardous materials are prohibited.
  • Keep your rental space clean and free of debris.
  • You are responsible for insuring your own property.
  • Keep your contact and payment information up to date.
  • Follow all posted signs and facility rules.
  • Accounts unpaid for 60 consecutive days may be subject
    to enforcement, including denial of access, towing, relocation, sale, or
    disposal of stored property where permitted by law.
